There has been a warm welcome at St. Paul's Episcopal Day School to everyone as we returned from a busy summer. Last week was a wonderful preview to the quality and quantity of the experiences St. Paul's provides, and the dedication of caring teachers, leaders and providers. The week was full of fabulous learning events that stimulated getting to know each other in new ways, warming up our minds to increase our learning capacity, and just plain having fun. I have always believed that the best learning takes place when it is stimulating and engaging. I observed that over and over last week!
This second week of school offers an opportunity to visit on Wednesday, August 31st. The Meet and Greet Gingie Watt will begin about 8:15 in the South Multipurpose Room (on the second floor next to the gym). Coffee will be available or bring your favorite brand. If you want to attend Chapel while you are here, I'll be in the South MPR before and after the services. I look forward to meeting you on Wednesday.
Curriculum Night is approaching! On Thursday, September 8, Specials Teachers will be in the lobby of the main building beginning at 6:15 to greet you and answer questions about what they teach. Beginning at 6:45 PM homeroom teachers will share what is in store for your children and the learning goals, at least for the first portion of the year! A six minute slide show will be cycling on both the first and second floors from 6:15 - 6:45, offering general reminders and lots of pictures. I hope you all are able to attend. It is an important night for St. Paul's Lower School Parents.
